It has been an awful last five days for Ohio State after losing to their biggest rival, Michigan, and being unable to play for a Big Ten title against Oregon.
Oregon took down the Buckeyes earlier this season by one point, and Ohio State was looking to get revenge, but that looks like it will have to wait.
Ohio State Loses A Player To Oregon
Ohio State thought they would be getting away from the Ducks all week since they won’t be playing each other, but that all changed on Wednesday when Oregon flipped one of Ohio State’s biggest recruits.
Na’eem Offord, the number two cornerback in the 2025 class, flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Oregon, which many people didn’t see coming.

The Birmingham, Alabama native looked like he would flip from the Buckeyes to Auburn, but the Ducks came out of nowhere and took the young star.
Ohio State still has the number-one cornerback in the class, Devin Sanchez, committed to them, so losing out on Offord hurts, but it isn’t that big of a blow.
The Buckeyes and Ducks will have a big rivalry in recruiting since Dan Lanning has done a great job stealing players from Ohio State, either coming into the state and taking their own or flipping commitments.
Oregon is building a great program, and it isn’t going anywhere under Lanning. Ohio State better figure out how to compete with them on and off the field, or it will fall behind quickly.
