Even though it’s the offseason in college football, and some would say it’s a lot busier and more complicated than the regular season, Ohio State finds this out every year when they go into the living rooms of the top high school players in the world and try to recruit them, against other teams.
The recruiting process is very difficult for both the schools and the players, and Ohio State will be in a very tough race for the best player in the 2026 class.
Ohio State Is Looking To Add The Best Quarterback In The 2026 Class

According to Steve Wiltfong from 247sports.com, 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis is set to visit the Buckeyes sometime this spring. He also mentioned that Curtis visited Ohio State in the fall and attended the game where they played Michigan State.
Curtis is set to return to Columbus on April 1st and is the number one ranked quarterback and number one overall player in the 2026 class, according to 247sports.
Curtis is from Nashville, Tennessee, and is now crystalballed to commit to Georiga. However, that can change if he likes his Ohio State visit. Curtis is also getting interest from Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, and Texas A&M.
How Does The Ohio State Quarterback Room Look In The Next Few Years?

The Ohio State quarterback room is pretty stacked at the moment; of course, they have transfer quarterback Will Howard, who is in his last season of college football, so he will not be around to compete with Curtis for a job. The same is true for Devin Brown, who will also be out of Columbus when Curtis could step on campus.
The Buckeye quarterback room for the future will be competitive. They still have redshirt freshman quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, who saw great action in the Cotton Bowl when Brown was injured. They also brought in two highly-ranked quarterbacks in the 2024 class, Julian Sayin and Air Noland, and if you didn’t think the room was great enough, they are also bringing in the second-highest-ranked quarterback in the 2025 class in Tavien St. Clair.
If Curtis doesn’t land with Ohio State, that’s okay. The Buckeyes’ quarterback room already has loads of talent, and Ohio State is one of the best schools in the country. They will be fine finding great quarterbacks in the 2026, 2027, and 2028 quarterback classes.
