Ryan Day talked to WBNS Television in Columbus, Ohio about Brian Hartline’s role with the club in the fall. Day said about Hartline:
“Some guys would say, wait a minute, I’m going somewhere else. He didn’t name me the coordinator. Now, he’s going to be coordinator. Now he’s going to call plays. That loyalty and that patience is going to pay off, and I think he’s going to be the best coordinator in the country.”
Hartline has recruited many talented wide receivers to the football program. He landed the number one recruit Chris Henry Jr. for the class of 2026. Jeremiah Smith is also one of the best wide receivers in college football and he was only a freshman this past season.
A lot of other Buckeyes wide receivers have gone on to play in the NFL. Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, and Marvin Harrison Jr. are just a few of those names to have been drafted. The Ohio State Buckeyes will have many more wide receivers in years to come who will get drafted. Emeka Egbuka will be the next Buckeyes wide receiver who will potentially be drafted in the first round this season.
