Hashtags on the site formerly known as Twitter have been a fantastic way of gathering like-minded individuals from all over the web. When it comes to Major League Baseball, there’s so much content going out that following a certain hashtag makes sure you’re in the know. It’s the same in the NFL!
Each year, Twitter does a cool thing where if you use a special hashtag, a little icon shows up. It’s just another fun way of interacting with fans of the same team. In this series, we will give out each of the hashtags for all eight divisions, continuing with the NFC East.
Official NFC East Hashtags for the 2024 NFL Season
Dallas Cowboys (#DallasCowboys)
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to capitalize on their strong roster and make a deep playoff run in 2024. With quarterback Dak Prescott leading the charge, the offense aims to be explosive, supported by a talented defense. The team has made key offseason moves to strengthen their lineup, and they are focused on overcoming past playoff disappointments. The Cowboys are determined to reclaim their status as NFC contenders.
Patience is running out in Dallas. Prescott is due to be a free agent after this season and with each and every new quarterback contract, his price gets higher and higher. The Cowboys have been a great regular-season team for a while but haven’t been able to cash it in despite having a ridiculous defense and one of the top weapons in the league, CeeDee Lamb.
New York Giants (#Giants100)
The New York Giants are entering the 2024 season with hopes of building on their recent success. With quarterback Daniel Jones and a strong supporting cast, the Giants aim to improve their offensive consistency. The defense, which showed promise last season, will need to continue its development to support the team’s playoff aspirations. The Giants are looking to make a statement in the NFC East.
The Giants aren’t expected to contend for the division but it will be a crucial year to see if Jones is the guy or not. Malik Nabers is a game-changer at wide receiver but they lost Saquon Barkley to free agency. Rookie tight end Theo Johnson looks to be a prime “wait who was that” candidate as people overlook him for Nabers.
Philadelphia Eagles (#FlyEaglesFly)
The Philadelphia Eagles are determined to rebound after a disappointing finish to the 2023 season. With a talented roster and a new offensive coordinator, the Eagles are looking to establish a strong start to the season. The team has a favorable schedule that could set the tone for their playoff push. If they can stay healthy and execute their game plan, the Eagles are serious contenders in the NFC East.
Last year sucked for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts was not his usual self and while the “tush push” was successful on what felt like every attempt, it wasn’t enough. They were embarrassed in the playoffs. Now, with Barkley, Hurts has a fantastic offensive line and wide receiver corps. Plus, they retooled their one massive flaw by drafting Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to man the secondary.
Washington Commanders (#RaiseHail)
The Washington Commanders are in a rebuilding phase, focusing on developing their young talent while trying to remain competitive. With a new coaching staff and a fresh approach, the team aims to improve on last season’s performance. The success of their young quarterback will be crucial, as will the ability to establish a consistent offensive identity. The Commanders are hoping for a better showing in the NFC East.
#HTTC is another hashtag you’d see if parsing through Commanders Twitter. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has the opportunity to change the Commanders’ fortunes but it’ll be a bit of an uphill battle.
