Nick Sirianni has become the face of the Philadelphia Eagles’ late-season capitulation.
Nick Sirianni On The Hot Seat?
From a roaring 10-1 start, the Eagles went on a losing bender, failing to win 5 of their last 6 games and, inconceivably, conceding the NFC East title to the Dallas Cowboys.
Even through all of this, the Eagles were handed the somewhat fortuitous draw of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round. Despite being 2.5 point favorites, the Eagles lost in a whomping and subsequently lost their All-Pro, future Hall of Fame center and podcast sensation, Jason Kelce, to retirement.
Amidst potential rumors of big-time candidates being considered to replace Sirianni, especially now that Jerry Jones has confirmed he will not be replacing Mike McCarthy as head coach – it seems like Sirianni’s future, whilst not in immediate danger, is definitely not certain, per Dianna Russini.
Nick Sirianni will meet with owner Jeffrey Lurie and will be expected to have a plan for how he is going to improve the Eagles. This will include a pitch on potential new coordinators and assistant coaches, per sources. This is why coaches around the league have been contacted.

It remains to be seen whether Sirianni, along with franchise quarterback, Jalen Hurts, is able to save his job and present a coherent plan for the future, otherwise we could be looking at yet another Philadelphia Eagles coach fired after reaching a Super Bowl.
