The NFL would look a lot different if Adam Sandler gave Tyreek Hill a call. According to the Miami Dolphins receiver, Hill was heavily considering going to the New York Jets before making his decision to go to Miami. Now Hill is blaming the famous actor and super Jets fan Adam Sandler as the main reason that Hill did not take his talents to New York.
NFL Fan Adam Sandler is To Blame For Tyreek Hill Not Going To New York Jets
Tyreek Hill recently went on Marlon Humphrey’s “Punch Line Podcast” and he revealed that it was Adam Sandler’s fault that Hill did not end up playing for the Jets.
“He didn’t call me, bro,” Hill said. “I was almost a New York Jet. I’m a huge Adam Sandler guy and Adam Sandler loves the New York Jets so my request was, if Adam Sandler was to call me, and ask me to come play for the Jets, I would’ve went.”
Tyreek was apparently set on going to New York and all he wanted was for Sandler to give him a call and be the one to recruit him. Hill is a huge fan of Sandler and that would have been the clinching factor of his decision if he got on the phone with the legendary actor.
Either Way It Works Out For Tyreek Hill
Even Imagining Hill and Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers playing together is insane. However, Hill has had his best statistical seasons with the Dolphins and is probably not angry with his decision to chose them over the Jets.
He may have a bit of anger in leaving the Kansas City Chiefs as they have won two Super Bowls since he left the team, but either way it all works our for Hill. He almost broke the single season receiving yards record this past year and will look to do just that in this upcoming season. Hill knows that is Miami’s time now and they have to make a deep playoff run next season.
