To say that Kenny Pickett has been outstanding in the preseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers would be a huge understatement at this point. The incoming second-year quarterback has been absolutely balling out of late, which is why it comes as no surprise that Steelers fans are all hyped up heading into the new season.
Kenny Pickett Closes Preseason With Majestic Performance Vs. Falcons
Pickett closed out his preseason on Thursday with another marvelous performance as the Steelers took on the Atlanta Falcons in their final preseason contest. Pittsburgh came into Thursday’s contest 2-0 after wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills.
Pickett clearly had no intention of taking his foot off the gas against Atlanta:

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin saw all that he needed from Pickett on Thursday and he decided to yank his star QB after going 4-of-4 for 86 yards. All in all, the 25-year-old has gone 5-of-5 on his drives in the preseason, with all of them resulting in touchdowns for Pittsburgh.
Kenny Pickett Hype Train in Full Throttle
You just knew that Steelers fans were going to make a lot of noise on Twitter (again) after seeing this performance from their QB1. Some supporters even went as far as saying that Pickett should be awarded the NFL Preseason MVP award. Unfortunately, such a trophy does not exist.

It was pretty much a perfect preseason for Kenny Pickett, who will now hope to carry over his momentum to the regular season. The Steelers kick off their campaign with a Week 1 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on September 10th. You can be sure that all eyes will be on the former Pitt standout.
