The NFL combine has seen some incredible moments but none crazier than watching Texas Longhorns receiver Xavier Worthy fly. Worthy clocked a 4.21 40-yard dash which broke the all time NFL scouting combine record which was set by Washington receiver John Ross III in 2017 at 4.22 seconds. He broke it by a 0.01 of a second.
NFL World Reacts To The Record Breaking Dash
The NFL world was buzzing as the record was broken and in Indianapolis the fans at the combine erupted when Worthy recorded a 4.22 that was later changed to a 4.21. Patrick Mahomes was among the fans that reacted to the crazy record and took to X to share his amazement.
😂😂😂 my bad 4.22…. https://t.co/LAEvPiHNty

The NFL World Took Notice Of This Record
The NFL world took notice of the record breaking performance and while Xavier may not go in the top ten picks he is looking like a first round receiver. Many of the top playoff teams at the end of the first round may want to add the fastest player that has ever been in the combine with their later picks.
Xavier will have to bulk up a bit as he weighed in at 172 pounds and perhaps he may lose a bit of speed if he adds a bit more weight. We will have to see where Worthy will go in draft in late April.
