The Basketball Hall of Famer took to social media to document her surprise meetings with Brady on Sunday and three-time MVP Alex Rodriguez on Monday. As a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Staley admitted it was “not easy” to look directly into Brady’s “seriously beautiful” eyes and shake his hand adorned with championship rings.
However, the coach’s gushing praise for the quarterback’s magnetic charm proved her Eagles loyalty was no match for Brady’s undeniable star power. Staley was equally starstruck posing for a photo with A-Rod at a Paris restaurant, marveling at the opportunity to cross paths with the legendary baseball slugger.
Despite her storied career, Staley’s childlike wonder at connecting with such sports royalty showed even the most accomplished athletes can still be awestruck by their heroes. The coach’s social media posts captured a lighthearted moment amid the high-stakes competition of the Olympic Games.

Meeting Brady will surely be the highlight of anyone’s trip, especially if it’s in Paris for the Olympics. And even though Staley is a diehard-Eagles fan, there’s no denying the impact she felt in meeting the greatest of all time in person.
