There’s plenty to look forward to in this last injury report of the regular season. Pay close attention and place your bets accordingly!
Vikings @ Lions Injury Report
Minnesota Vikings
Brian O’Neill: An ankle injury will keep the Vikings’ right tackle sidelined for the regular season finale. Starting in his place will be backup David Quessenberry, who’s been an average blocker with a decent amount of snaps played. Still, Aidan Hutchinson should be able to get a good amount of pressure on Nick Mullens.
Byron Murphy Jr./Mekhi Blackmon: Minnesota will be without their starting No. 2 and No. 3 outside corners, as they recover from knee and shoulder injuries, respectively. This will force Andrew Booth Jr. and NaJee Thompson into the starting lineup. While neither has played significant time, Booth Jr. would likely slide into the No. 2 spot while Thompson takes the slot. This gives a great advantage to Amon-Ra St. Brown, who should do most of his work from the slot. Also, expect a good day from Josh Reynolds.
Detroit Lions
Jameson Williams: An ankle injury will hold out Detroit’s No. 2 receiver. He’s been an explosive weapon when healthy, but that’s been rare this year. With Williams out, expect a larger target share for St. Brown, LaPorta, and Reynolds.
Browns @ Bengals Injury Report
Cleveland Browns
Joe Flacco: The Browns will rest their elderly starting quarterback this week as they prepare for the playoffs. With Jeff Driskell in, expect a lot of short throws and for the running game to be a point of emphasis.
Amari Cooper/Elijah Moore: While Cooper is resting, Moore is in concussion protocol and is questionable. It seems unlikely that he’ll play. If this is the case, expect a larger target share for Cedric Tillman, David Bell and Harrison Bryant.
Myles Garrett: The Browns will also rest their best player to ensure he’s healthy. Look for Ogbo Okoronkwo to get more snaps in his return to action. Jake Browning should have a cleaner pocket than usual.
Greg Newsome II/Juan Thornhill: Cleveland will be without their No. 2 outside corner and starting free safety as they recover from knee and calf injuries. Backup cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. has played extremely well and isn’t much worse than Newsome. Ronnie Hickman has shown flashes but is slightly worse than Thornhill. Expect the Browns’ downfield coverage to fall off just a bit.
Cincinnati Bengals
Tee Higgins: Due to a hamstring injury, the Bengals’ No. 2 receiver is listed as doubtful. If he isn’t able to play, expect the Bengals’ offense to be much less explosive. Also look for Ja’Marr Chase, Tyler Boyd and Tanner Hudson to get more targets.
Jaguars @ Titans Injury Report
Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence: Due to shoulder and finger injuries, Lawrence will officially be a game-time decision. If he can’t go, C.J. Beathard will be the man for Jacksonville. If Beathard is starting, expect at least 18 carries for Travis Etienne Jr. and lots of short passes.
Christian Kirk: After suffering a serious groin injury weeks ago, Kirk is questionable for this week. He would be a great addition to Jacksonville if he can go, but if he can’t, expect Parker Washington to play the slot. Also look for Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones and Evan Engram to get a larger target share.
Tennessee Titans
No notable injuries.
Buccaneers @ Panthers Injury Report
Carolina Panthers
Cade Mays: Carolina’s starting left guard likely won’t play due to a finger injury. Mays has been terrible this season and backup Ilm Manning hasn’t even played a meaningful snap. Expect the Buccaneers’ interior to dominate, getting after Bryce Young for multiple sacks.
Eddy Piniero: The Panthers’ kicker will likely be inactive this week as he recovers from a hamstring injury. It’s unclear who their backup will be. If this is somehow a close game at the end, don’t expect Carolina to win on a field goal.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
No notable injuries.
Falcons @ Saints Injury Report
Atlanta Falcons
Drew Dalman: An ankle injury will keep Atlanta’s starting center sidelined. He’s been one of the better run blockers for his position in the entire league. With Ryan Neuzil starting, expect Atlanta to be worse at running the ball through the inside.
New Orleans Saints
Landon Young: New Orleans’ will be missing their right tackle as he recovers from a knee injury. He’s been largely inconsistent the entire year, so backup tackle Cameron Erving won’t be much of a downgrade. Expect Calais Campbell to get multiple pressures and at least one sack in what could be the final game of his career.
Jets @ Patriots Injury Report
New York Jets
No notable injuries.
New England Patriots
Hunter Henry: New England will be without one of their top offensive weapons in Henry, their starting tight end as he recovers from a knee injury. Even without Henry, New England still has quality depth. Mike Gesicki will take his place in the lineup. Expect a larger target share for him, DeVante Parker and Demario Douglas.
Trent Brown: An illness will keep the Patriots’ starting right tackle. He’s been inconsistent but is still much better than backup Vedarian Lowe. Expect Bailey Zappe to feel increased pressure from his right side, especially from Jermaine Johnson II.
Chiefs @ Chargers Injury Report
Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes: The Chiefs will rest their star quarterback this week. With Blaine Gabbert starting, expect the offense to be at least half pass half run with lots of checkdowns.
Rashee Rice/Kadarius Toney: Hamstring and hip injuries will keep two of the Chiefs’ receivers sidelined this week. With these two out, expect a larger target share for Travis Kelce, Justin Watson and Marquez Valdez-Scantling.
Donovan Smith: A neck injury will continue to sideline Kansas City’s starting left tackle. With Smith out, Rookie Wanya Morris will step in once again. Expect Khalil Mack to take full advantage, harassing Gabbert for as long as he wants.
L’Jarius Sneed: Kansas City will be without their top corner for this final week due to a calf injury. This moves McDuffie to the No. 1 spot, while Jaylen Watson moves to the No. 2 spot. This should give a small advantage to Quentin Johnston, who should have a good game.
Los Angeles Chargers
Keenan Allen: A heel injury will wrap Allen’s season up. In the Finale, expect a larger target share for Josh Palmer, Quentin Johnston and Gerald Everett.
Joey Bosa: A foot injury will ensure Bosa isn’t able to finish the season. The Chargers still have decent pass rush depth but with how talented Bosa is, expect a slightly cleaner pocket for Gabbert.
Kenneth Murray: A shoulder injury will likely keep Murray out of the season finale. With Daiyan Henley playing instead, expect much worse open-field tackling for LA.
Rams @ 49ers Injury Report
Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford/Kyren Williams/Cooper Kupp/Tyler Higbee: Coach Sean McVay is expected to sit four of his top five offensive players to ensure their health. With Carson Wentz entering in for Stafford, expect him to target Puka Nukua and Tutu Atwell more than anyone else.
Joe Noteboom: With McVay also sitting his left tackle, Alaric Jackson will start in his place. Expect him to struggle against Chase Young and Nick Bosa, leading to a bad game for Carson Wentz.
Aaron Donald: Donald will also sit due to a coach’s decision. With Donald out, expect Sam Darnold to have a much cleaner pocket than he would before.
San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey: A calf injury will keep McCaffrey out this week. Without him, expect the run game to be less explosive than usual. Still, Elijah Mitchell is talented enough to have around 100 scrimmage yards against a depleted defense.
Ji’Ayir Brown/Tashaun Gipson: Neither safety for San Francisco will suit up this week against the Rams. It’s unclear who will start at safety besides Logan Ryan. Still, without the Rams’ top weapons available it shouldn’t make much of a difference.
Arik Armstead: Armstead will sit out the regular season finale. With Javon Kinlaw in, expect the interior pass rush to be slightly worse than usual.
Broncos @ Raiders Injury Report
Denver Broncos
Mike McGlinchey: A rib injury will hold out the starting right tackle for Denver. With Cam Fleming in, Maxx Crosby should have a sizable advantage this week. Look for him to finish with multiple sacks.
Las Vegas Raiders
Josh Jacobs: A quad injury will keep Jacobs out for the finale. With how good Zamir White has been running, that isn’t even a loss. Expect White to finish with at least 75 rushing yards.
Michael Mayer: Mayer has been one of the best rookie tight ends in the league, unfortunately, he won’t be making an appearance this week. Expect a larger target share for Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker.
Bears @ Packers Injury Report
Chicago Bears
Darnell Mooney: A concussion will keep Chicago’s No. 2 receiver sidelined. Expect a larger target share for DJ Moore, Tyler Scott and Cole Kmet.
Jaylon Johnson: The Bears will also be without their best cornerback due to a shoulder injury. This will force Tyrique Stevenson to cover Christian Watson. This gives a great advantage to Romeo Doubs, who will have Terell Smith covering him. Expect at least 70 yards for Doubs.
Green Bay Packers
AJ Dillon: A stinger will keep Dillon out for the regular season finale. Expect Aaron Jones to take the majority of the carries, with Patrick Taylor getting some work on third downs.
Seahawks @ Cardinals Injury Report
Seattle Seahawks
Abraham Lucas: A knee injury will sideline Seattle’s right tackle this week. With how bad the Cardinals’ pass rush has been, Jason Peters should be able to hold up just fine.
Arizona Cardinals
D.J. Humphries: A knee injury will also keep the Cardinals’ left tackle out for the rest of the year. Backup Kelvin Beachum is a pretty significant downgrade. Expect Boye Mafe to get at least one sack this week.
Garrett Williams: Arizona’s No. 2 corner will be sidelined this week due to an ankle injury. With Kei’Trel Clark starting, expect Tyler Lockett to have a good game this week. All Seahawks receivers have favorable matchups.
Eagles @ Giants Injury Report
Philadelphia Eagles
Devonta Smith: Philadelphia will be without their No. 2 receiver as he recovers from an ankle injury. Expect the offense to be more run-based than usual. Also look for a larger target share A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert and Julio Jones.
Darius Slay: A knee injury will continue to keep the Eagles’ best cornerback out. With Kelee Ringo in, expect Darius Slayton and Wan’Dale Robinson to have good games.
New York Giants
Deonte Banks: A shoulder injury will likely keep New York’s No. 2 cornerback out. With Tre Hawkins in, this should give an advantage to Julio Jones.
Cowboys @ Commanders Injury Report
Dallas Cowboys
No notable injuries.
Washington Commanders
Jonathan Allen: Washington will be without their best defensive player due to a knee injury. With this, expect the Commanders to be terrible at stuffing the run. Tony Pollard and Rico Dowle should combine for 125+ rushing yards.
Kendall Fuller: A knee injury will keep Washington’s best corner out. This should put Jartavius Martin on CeeDee Lamb. With this, Lamb should have another dominant 100+ yard performance.
Bills @ Dolphins Injury Report
Buffalo Bills
No notable injuries.
Miami Dolphins
Bradley Chubb: A knee injury has ended Chubb’s season. He was the last dominant pass rusher on Miami’s roster, so this is a huge loss. Expect Josh Allen to have an extremely clean pocket this week.
Xavien Howard: Miami will also be without their 2nd best outside corner as he recovers from a foot injury. With Eli Apple starting, Gabe Davis should have one of the best games of his season. He should finish with at least 75+ yards.
