The 2023 NFL Draft is right around the corner and there are plenty of extremely talented young players that will make their leap to the professional level. One of those exciting young talents is Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, who many expect will go with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Right now, the Chicago Bears hold that selection and there have been a ton of rumors about what could happen at the top of the draft.

From rumors that the Indianapolis Colts could trade up to the No. 1 pick, to other rumors that have the Bears selecting Young and trading Justin Fields, a ton of things could happen to shake things up.

However, one thing that remains a fact is that Young is an extremely talented player that has true superstar potential for the future. Whoever ends up drafting him, could be drafting a guy that further makes massive changes to the quarterback position.

Bryce Young Being Compared To The Steph Curry

Todd McShay, a well-respected NFL Draft analyst for ESPN, has stirred the pot even more at the top of the NFL Draft. He boldly stated that Young will end up being the “Steph Curry of the NFL.”

ESPN’s Todd McShay said he believes Bryce Young will be the “Steph Curry” of the NFL.

“I see [Young] as the next generation type of guy,” McShay raved. “Steph Curry [comparison] is perfect. I was sitting in the GameDay bus with Kirk Herbstreit. We were talking about it — he is Steph Curry of college football and will be in the NFL. Throw out the measurables. He’s just going to find a way to avoid contact and always be able to create and make that play that most quarterbacks can’t.”

To have an analyst like McShay giving this kind of compliment shows just how talented Young is and how good he could become in the future.

During the 2022 season for the Crimson Tide, Young ended up completing 64.5 percent of his pass attempts for 3,328 yards, 32 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also picked up 185 yards and four scores on the ground.

Back in 2021, Bryce Young put together an even more masterful season. He racked up 4,872 passing yards to go along with 47 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. His numbers over the past two years are insane and show the kind of player that could take the NFL by storm.

Stephen Curry completely changed the way the NBA game is played. His ability to knock down the three and create plays for teammates has been unrivaled in the history of the game. Comparing Young to that kind of an impact player in a sport speaks volumes.

It will be interesting to see what happens at the top of the 2023 NFL Draft. Do the Bears actually trade Fields to take on Bryce Young and build around him? Does another team put together a blockbuster trade offer to move up to get Young?

Only time will tell, but NFL fans are going to love watching this kid play in the future. The hype is building to an all-time high, but Young is good enough to rise up and meet those expectations.
