NFL.com is paying tribute to the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
Play commenced today — April 11, 2024 — in golf’s first major tournament of the year. And the folks over at NFL.com are tipping their cap to the world’s best golfers, as well as one of the world’s most famous golf venues.
The Masters

The Masters was first played in 1934. Founded by golfing legend Bobby Jones, it is one of golf’s four major tournaments. It is played every April at the August National Golf Club.
Tiger Woods Is Competing, Along with Other Golf Stars.
Living gold legend Tiger Woods, who is now 48 years old, is competing in the tournament this year.
Also competing is Rory McIlroy, who is seeking to complete golf’s career grand slam with a victory in Augusta. (As previously reported here in Gridiron Heroics, McIlroy is a Buffalo Bills fan, and the Bills Mafia considers him a member.)
Defending champion Jon Rahm and world No. 1 ranked player, Scottie Scheffler, are both competing as well.
