The Miami Hurricanes finished the regular season with a 10-2 record in college football. Miami did not make the ACC Championship Game this season and they failed to make it to the college football playoffs.
Another team that did not qualify for the college football playoffs is the Iowa State Cyclones. Iowa State lost to the Arizona State Sun Devils in the BIG12 Championship Game. The Cyclones finished the regular season with a 10-3 record.
Miami Hurricanes Will Face the Iowa State Cyclones In the Pop Tarts Bowl On Saturday, December 28
After the college football playoffs field was announced, the other bowl games were announced. One of the top bowls that was talked about a season ago was the Pop-Tarts Bowl. It was the first time ever it was played. The Kansas State Wildcats defeated the North Carolina State Wolfpack 28-19.
On Sunday, it was announced that the Miami Hurricanes will face the Iowa State Cyclones in the Pop-Tarts Bowl this season. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

One of the biggest stories in this game will be whether or not quarterback Cam Ward will play in this game. Ward is projected to be one of the top five picks in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Gator bowl would’ve been a better destination. It’s been 25 years since the Canes played in Jacksonville. How many times have we played in Orlando recently? I live about 20 minutes from the Jax stadium so a Gator Bowl appearance would’ve been a nice consolation prize.

The pop Pop-Tarts Bowl has a chance to be very good vibes for a bunch of college football fans. The Miami Hurricanes are a better football team than the Iowa State Cyclones. It will be intriguing to see if the Hurricanes will be inspired to play against the Cyclones or not.
