The New York Jets have been searching for an answer at the quarterback position since Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles four offensive snaps into the season. The team stuck with Zach Wilson and decided to bench him before the Black Friday game last week and started Tim Boyle.
However, late in the second half of the Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the New York Jets and coach Robert Saleh decided to make a quarterback change as Trevor Siemian entered the game.
QB Trevor Siemian is now in the game.

Tim Boyle finishes his day going 14-of-25 for 148 yards and an interception. This is Siemian’s first action of the season since playing two games with the Chicago Bears last season. Heading into this game, he is 621-of-1055 (58.9 completion percentage) for 7,027 yards with 42 touchdowns and 28 interceptions.
The New York Jets need to figure out an answer at the quarterback position as they can ill-afford to lose this game if they want to continue dreaming about a potential playoff appearance.
What can the New York Jets do to keep their playoff chances alive?
Until the New York Jets are officially eliminated from playoff contention, they are going to need to win games to stay alive. With a 4-7 record heading into this Week 13 matchup, they need to figure out how to step up and get the offense sustaining drives and ending in points. Since their overtime victory against the New York Giants, the team has scored two touchdowns in almost 16 full quarters.
The defense has shown the ability to keep the team’s chances alive and well but the offense cannot keep drives going and let the defense stay on the sideline. They need to come from behind to win and pick up their fifth win of the season against a struggling Atlanta Falcons team and continue kicking the ball down the field for a potential Aaron Rodgers return.
While the playoffs seem more like a pipe dream than anything else, it still is not officially out of the question but they cannot continue to lose games. This was supposed to be the easier part of their schedule and with games against the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins in the next two weeks, they need to win here and keep building momentum.
