The New York Jets quarterback situation became a disaster when Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles on the fourth snap of Week 1. Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, and Trevor Siemian combined for a 6-10 record in Rodgers’ absence.
New York hopes that Rodgers can stay healthy, and the team has a contingency plan at quarterback.
The New York Jets signed a Pro Bowler as their backup
The Jets signed Tyrod Taylor to a 2-year, $12 million contract. Taylor turns 35 this August and will be a short-term solution, meaning the team needs to find another quarterback who can be on their roster for more than two years.
New York will visit with a quarterback prospect this week.

What round will the New York Jets draft a QB (if they draft one)?
The Jets currently have seven draft picks, including one in the first round (10th), one in the third round (72nd), two in the fourth round (111 and 135), one in the sixth round (185), and two in the seventh round (256 and 257).
Because New York has limited draft capital, they will likely draft a quarterback in the fourth round on Day 3.
