New York Jets: Haason Reddick Shared Video Of Expensive Vacation Amid Holdout

The New York Jets have had a very interesting start to their 2024 season. While the stories with Aaron Rodgers have been not stop, they are now facing perhaps a bigger issue with their biggest pick up of this offseason.

The team traded for super star defensive end Haason Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in the offseason, but Reddick has not reported to the team yet.

Even at the team begins to get into their camp, Reddick is pending his summer in style and has been posting about it too. The elite defensive star posted a video of himself walking the streets of Japan while he is supposed to be at camp. Reddick was dressed in the traditional Japanese clothing and walking the streets of Japan on a rainy day with an umbrella.

He had captioned the now viral video with:

     “The Lost Samurai,”

He did not give any further explanations why he was there and when or if he would be returning to the Jets camp. While the Jets and fans get more anxious, Reddick is living his best life across the ocean.

The star defender is reportedly holding out from the team in order to get a new contract. He is now entering the final year of a three year  $45 million contract that he signed back in 2022 with the Eagles. It appears that Reddick wants a new monster deal that he feels he deserves.

The team is bringing Rodgers back as well as one of the best defenses in the NFL that got better with Reddick, if he stops his hold out. The team wants to end their playoff drought that has just been plaguing the team for years.

Beyond just Haason, the team made other key additions, most importantly on the offensive line to help their star quarterback play more than two snaps this season. They will need Rodgers upright and healthy if they have any aspirations of a deep playoff run. Let alone just to compete in their tough division.

Reddick clearly is ready to drag this thing out for as long as it takes and he knows he deserves a huge new contract. The team gave up quite a bit for Reddick and there would be no reason to not sign him to along term huge deal.

We will have to wait and find out if the Jets will give the man what he is asking for before the official training camp begins.

Former Eagle Haason Reddick has skipped Jets team meetings and just posted this video of himself in Japan on his IG. 😂
