The New York Jets are doing everything they can to reach the playoffs this season since they last got there in 2010 and the team was in a big trade, but they never went through with it.
The New York Jets Wanted Jeudy
On Saturday, the Cleveland Browns traded for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Jets were also interested in the wide receiver.
Became clear this week Denver was warming up to finally trading Jerry Jeudy, who had interest from five or six teams, including #Jets and #Patriots, per source.

The Jets need to upgrade the receiver room badly. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is coming off a season in which he couldn’t get past the first drive of the regular season, and now, in year two in New York, he will need a good number of weapons.
The Jets have a young star receiver, Garrett Wilson, but that’s all they really have on the team. They have Allen Lazard, who spent a reasonable amount of time with Rodgers in Green Bay, but they can’t go into the season with him as the number two option.
It’s Now Time For The Jets To Win
Aaron Rodgers only has a little time left in the NFL. He is already 40 years old and is coming off a torn Achilles, so who even knows how he will be? The Jets can’t just sit around and wait for him to understand the receivers. He needs experienced veterans who can still play well at the NFL level, not Randall Cobb, who has been around the league for a long time and played with Rodgers in Green Bay.
Is missing out on Jeudy that big of a deal? No, not at the moment, because they could still swing for another player in a trade or sign a free agent. But what if that never happens to the Jets, and they head into the draft with really only Wilson as a threat from that position?
This year’s NFL Draft is very deep at receiver, and the Jets could take one in the first round, but they need a tackle in the worst way possible, and that’s what they should be going after on night one.
This offseason is crucial for the Jets, and it can’t make a few of their fans too happy that they already lost out on a trade before the new league year starts next week.
