Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets superstar quarterback, is known for delivering intriguing quotes during his appearances on The Pat McAfee Show. This Tuesday’s episode was no exception.
Currently, the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers are regarded as the frontrunners to represent their respective conferences in this year’s Super Bowl. Interestingly, the color scheme of Super Bowl 58’s logo aligns with the colors of these two teams, featuring purple and red.
What’s even more peculiar is that the last two Super Bowl logos also seemed to match the colors of the participating teams.
Super Bowl 56 had an orange and yellow logo, coincidentally mirroring the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams, who were the actual contenders in the game. Likewise, last year’s Super Bowl logo showcased green and red, corresponding to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, who competed in the championship.
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers Floats Wild Conspiracy Theory
During his discussion about the Super Bowl with McAfee, Rodgers couldn’t resist making a humorous comment. He said, “If the Super Bowl features Baltimore and San Francisco, then I tell you what, that Super Bowl 59 emblem better have Jet green on it.”
It’s worth noting that Rodgers made a high-profile move to the New York Jets in a blockbuster trade last offseason, concluding his remarkable 18-year stint with the Green Bay Packers. New York had high hopes of reaching the Super Bowl in 2023, but Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury during the Jets’ first offensive series in Week 1, dashing their championship aspirations.
Assuming Rodgers is in good health for the upcoming season, the Jets are likely to be considered Super Bowl contenders once again. However, there’s work to be done in the offseason, such as reinforcing the offensive line and potentially adding another weapon to improve the team’s aerial attack. Nevertheless, a healthy Rodgers could be a game-changer for the Jets in 2024.
The NFL playoffs are set to commence next week, with both the Ravens and the 49ers enjoying first-round byes. It remains to be seen whether these two teams will indeed face off in the Super Bowl next month. If they do, you can expect Aaron Rodgers to humorously bring up the Super Bowl logo color scheme once more.
