The New York Giants own the sixth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and it is possible that wide receiver Malik Nabers from LSU gets selected by the Giants. Nabers is one of the best wide receivers in this draft class and he will for sure go in the Top 10.
Nabers spoke about the Giants organization to Katherine Terrell on ESPN and said:
“I had a great dinner with those guys. Those are some funny guys to be around … I opened up my personality to those guys. It’s not hard to talk to them. They know me personally as a player. “I heard Brian (Daboll), the head coach, he loves the way I play. It’s just great to be around the atmosphere with those guys again.”
This is a good sign because head coach Brian Daboll was in attendance for Malik Nabers’s pro day at LSU. The Giants are looking to improve the offense as they had one of the worst offenses in the NFL a season ago. They could also be looking to draft a quarterback with the selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.
New York Giants Adding Malik Nabers To the Wide Receiver Room Would Make It Improve Instantly
There are a lot of Giants fans that would love Nabers on the roster. They know what kind of talent he is. Some people think he could be drafted ahead of Marvin Harrison Jr. but it remains to be seen.
Currently on New York’s roster, they have Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Darius Slayton, and Isaiah Hodgins as the top wide receivers on the roster. They are good receivers, but Nabers would instantly become the top wide receiver on the team.
They have not had an explosive wide receiver since they drafted Odell Beckham Jr. from LSU in the 2014 NFL Draft. The LSU Tigers seem to have a track record over the years with producing great wide receivers in the NFL. Nabers may not be only the first-round selection at wide receiver from LSU. Brian Thomas Jr. might join him as well.
