The New York Giants kickers had an underwhelming 2023 season. They made 22 field goals (28th) on 31 attempts (20th) with a 71.0% field goal percentage (31st). They also made 24 extra points (29th) on 25 extra point attempts (29th) with a 96% extra point percentage (10th) in 2023.
The Giants struggled to kick field goals last season because their Pro Bowler missed time with an injury.
The New York Giants kicker battled an injury
Graham Gano played the first eight games of the 2023 season despite suffering a left knee injury before Week 7 and only made one of four field goal attempts in Weeks 7 and 8. The Giants placed Gano on injured reserve before Week 9. He underwent surgery and missed the rest of the season.
He made 11 field goals on 17 attempts with a 64.7% field goal percentage. He also made eight extra points on eight extra-point attempts.
Randy Bullock replaced Gano for Weeks 9-15. Unfortunately, he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 15 and missed the rest of the season. Bullock made five field goals on six attempts with an 83.3% field goal percentage. He also made ten extra points on ten extra-point attempts.
Finally, Mason Crosby replaced Bullock for Weeks 16-18. Crosby made five field goals on seven attempts with a 71.4% field goal percentage. He also made six extra points on seven extra-point attempts.

Graham Gano is feeling better
Gano recovered from his left knee injury and participated in OTAs and mandatory minicamp. Here’s how their special teams coordinator plans to utilize him this summer.
“I think you always have to monitor how many kicks a specialist has in general,” he said. “But the fact of the matter is that is like a conversation that you always have with the player. How are you feeling today? The biggest thing is you want to make sure they show up to the game healthy and ready to go. I’ve seen him do everything that I need to.”
Will Graham Gano bounce back in 2024?
Now that Gano is healthy and recovered from his knee injury, he shouldn’t have any limitations next season. He is in the first year of his 3-year, $16.5 million contract he signed during the season and will be an unrestricted free agent in 2027.
How many field goals will he make in 2024?
