Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning might be the best quarterback in Giants history. He won two Super Bowls in 2007 and 2011 against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Manning will always be remembered for the throw to David Tyree in the first Super Bowl. It was known as the helmet catch, which led to the biggest upset in Super Bowl history.
In the second Super Bowl appearance, Manning made another great throw to Mario Manningham on the sidelines. It was the same drive that led to the game-winning Ahmad Bradshaw touchdown in the second Super Bowl title. Eli Manning won Super Bowl MVP both times, but never won the MVP in the regular season at any point in his NFL career.
New York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning Eligible To Be In the Pro Football Hall of Fame In 2025
Eli Manning is eligible to be in the Hall of Fame in 2025. Giants.com wrote:
“Manning, who ranks top 10 in career passing yards, completions and touchdown passes, is joined by seven other Giants legends on this year’s ballot: running back Tiki Barber, tight end Jeremy Shockey, guard Chris Snee, defensive end Justin Tuck, linebacker Jessie Armstead, and punters Jeff Feagles and Sean Landeta.”
Ever since Manning has retired, there have been many debates about whether or not he is going to get into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Fans React
There was no doubt that fans were going to react when it was announced that Eli Manning was going to be eligible to get into the Hall of Fame. His brother Peyton Manning, is already in the Hall of Fame. This is what some fans had to say about the former franchise quarterback for the Giants:

I may not agree with Orlovsky on much but Manning was always a lock for the Hall of fame after knocking off Brady twice. Not to mention the first time he knocked him off was that 16-0 regular season team. 18-1 stings and Manning will always own that.

He should be a shoe in:
Iron man streak
Finished his career with top 10 counting stats
2 x Super Bowl Champion (over Brady/Belichick)
Handled himself like a complete gentleman on/off the field.— greg cantwell (@gregmcantwell) September 18, 2024
One of the greatest things about Eli Manning was that he was always available to play for the New York Giants on Sunday. He provided a lot for the organization on and off the field. One of the best traits he had on the field was knowing how to read a defense and make the play to the right receiver who was open. Giants fans think he is a first Ballot Hall of Famer, but they could be shocked if he doesn’t get in right away and has to wait his turn as well.
