The New York Giants are 2-4 to start the season. They have lost some close games this season and some fans believe that if Tyrod Taylor was the quarterback and not Daniel Jones this season, they would have a 4-2 or 5-1 record right now.
The fans are over Daniel Jones being the starting quarterback after him being in his sixth NFL season. Some fans want him benched so he doesn’t get hurt to avoid the guarantee of automatically picking up next season if he were to get injured. However, they faced Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams last season but they will not face him this season.
New York Giants Fans Get Delusional On Twitter and Think They Will Get Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford
It is one thing for the Giants fanbase to be frustrated and want a new quarterback to replace Daniel Jones through the draft in 2025. That is a normal reaction from most fanbases when a team wants to see them get a new quarterback. It is another thing for fans on Twitter to create crazy mock trades and then let it go through Twitter altogether.
One fan thinks that the New York Giants should trade for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. The Rams are 1-4 to start the season and they could be sellers at the deadline, but there is probably no chance they would trade Stafford this season. Here is how it all went down on social media:
In a handful of photoshops this week started by the deranged @EthanGSN, Matthew Stafford has already accomplished as much as a New York Giant as former mascot Saquon Barkley

Giants fans, why are we talking about Matthew Stafford rn???

The Giants photoshops of Matthew Stafford has to be the most annoying movement on this app since planking was a thing

Matthew Stafford to the Giants rumors being fabricated first thing in the morning?
Haven’t seen this much hope out of Giants fans since that time we thought Kenny Golladay would save the offense

I love how Giants fans woke up this morning and just randomly decided to push for a Matthew Stafford trade

At this point in the NFL season, there is no need for them to trade for a quarterback. The New York Giants fanbase needs to let the rest of the season ride out and hope for a Top 5 to Top 10 pick to draft a quarterback.
A Quarterback Away
New York’s fanbase is delusional for thinking a 36-year-old quarterback is what they need right now. Stafford has been great throughout his career, but he is one injury away from his career-ending. That is not the answer for the Giants in the long term.
The answer for them in the long-term is either drafting Shedeur Sanders from Colorado, Cam Ward from Miami, Quinn Ewers from Texas, or someone else. General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll need to focus on the long-term and not the short-term. They have wide receiver Malik Nabers as the top target for the long haul. Now, they just need to find his quarterback through the draft and not a trade.
