“Tank The Rest Of The Year” – New England Patriots Fans React To Drake Maye Brutal Injury

New England Patriots fans have now officially given up on the season after their up-and-coming rookie quarterback Drake Maye left the game due to a brutal concussion. Their rookie star was hit in the head hard with no penalty called, and that has sent Patriots fans into a depression.

Fans Are All Praying Drake Maye Will Be OK

Maye started off incredibly against the New York Jets and had a wild 17-yard rushing touchdown. But later in the game Maye got hit on another rushing play and left with a concussion. There was no penalty called on the play where Maye clearly got hit in the head. The no-call has sent fans into a frenzy.

[atriots fans are all praying that their future starter is OK, and they have been freaking out that there was no penalty called.

“Prayers that it’s nothing serious,” one fan wrote.

“I knew it .. right when he slid you could see it…absolute cheap shot to the back of the head with crown of the helmet while sliding… ref completely missed it,” one fan added.

“Drake Maye is too good to be surrounded by so many scrubs,” one fan added.

The team later announced that their quarterback would not return for the game:

“Patriots injury update: QB Drake Maye (head) is questionable to return,” they wrote.

“Jacoby Brissett is now in at quarterback.”

The NFL’s officiating needs to be revamped and fixed. You miss this obvious helmet to helmet when a QB is giving himself up and it results in a potential concussion/Drake Maye being knocked out of the game. pic.twitter.com/52RwMS6sCR

Improves our chances to lose. Tank season baby

    — BrakeGti (@BrakeGTI5) October 27, 2024

This season is really going to be a tanking season for New England as they will continue to lose games and get one of the top draft picks of the upcoming draft.

They have so many issues they need to address on both sides of the ball, specifically at their offensive line. They will need to be able to protect Maye going forward. While the team does not have many good weapons and tons of issues on the defensive side, it will take many seasons it appears to get the team back on track.

For Maye, hopefully, he will be OK and be able to play in the upcoming games. It is shocking that no penalty was called on the play. The way these games are called is getting more and more subjective every game.
