The Detroit Lions have been the best team in the NFC this season, but on Sunday night, they were staring down their second loss when they trailed 23-7 to the Houston Texans at the half.

Quarterback Jared Goff had a night to forget, throwing five interceptions, but his second-half play helped bring the Lions back and pull off the crazy 26-23 win on a last-second 52-yard field goal from Jake Bates.

One of the new Lion’s star players was not suited for the victory because he was just added to the team this week, but that didn’t stop him from going all out and supporting his team.
On Tuesday, the Lions traded for Cleveland Browns defensive end Za’Darius Smith, but since the 32-year-old defender was just acquired, he was not ready to take the field with his new organization.
Smith Is Happy About The Detroit Lions Win

Smith seemed happy to be part of a winning team after leaving Cleveland, where he had only two wins in the season. He posted on social media after the Lions’ huge win, ” Great team Win!! I can’t wait.”

Someone seems fired up about playing in the postseason this year, and Smith can contribute a lot to a great Lions defense.
Detroit will be the team to beat in the NFC this winter, and there is a great chance they will head to their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
