Minnesota Vikings fans were upset on social media Saturday afternoon following Kirk Cousins’ decision on a possible trade from the team. The Vikings are 1-4 heading into their Week 6 contest against the Bears, and there were rumors Cousins would look to seek a trade to leave Minnesota in the final season of his contract.
This week, Cousins sidestepped a question about whether he would waive his no-trade clause this season. To make matters worse for the Vikings and Cousins prospects this season, star wide receiver Justin Jefferson is expected to be out for six weeks.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, Cousins will not waive his no-trade clause and should finish out the season with the Vikings:
“Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is expected to remain in Minnesota this season and will not look to waive the no-trade clause in his contract, league sources told ESPN.”

Add Minnesota to the Caleb Williams to the “Let’s tank the season” sweepstakes.

Vikings need to bench him and see how quickly he changes his tune on that no-trade clause.

Jets need a QB though. Jets might be able to win with Cousins. Why not get the draft picks if you’re the Vikings? You get nothing after the season.
