The Minnesota Vikings pulled off the upset win at home against the San Francisco 49ers in a close matchup that saw several injuries to key players. The 49ers suffered injuries to tight end George Kittle and star defender Nick Bosa, but thankfully, don’t seem to be too serious. For the Vikings, superstar Justin Jefferson suffered a leg injury, causing him to miss the rest of the game, and head coach Kevin O’Connell gave an unfortunate update on his status going forward.
Justin Jefferson Injury
The star receiver left the game late in the third quarter after suffering an injury to his right leg. Jefferson went to the locker room with what was ruled a quad injury, and he was declared out for the rest of the game.

The superstar finished his game with four catches with 133 receiving yards and a touchdown. O’connell revealed in the postgame press conference that Jefferson officially suffered a quad contusion, and will be day-to-day this week leading up to their next matchup against the Houston Texans.
Minnesota Vikings Fans React
With the injury just being a contusion, it is likely that Jefferson will be able to suit up next week, however, some Vikings fans are worried that he will not play in order to ensure that he will not aggravate the injury even more. Here are some of the reaction on social media to the injury:
Hope he is ok. Play it safe, no need to risk it. It’s a long season.

Tough break for both players! Hope they recover quickly. The game really has its ups and downs, doesn't it?

Do you think Jefferson will be good to go in Week three, or will the team play it safe and let him fully recover?
