The Minnesota Vikings aren’t able to catch a break.  Their 2024 off-season has been full of injuries, players leaving in free agency, legal issues, and more injuries.

It was announced today that rookie QB J.J. McCarthy will miss the entire 2024 season after having surgery.  Now, and offensive star was carted off the field during practice.

According to NFL Insider Ari Meirov:

Vikings WR Jordan Addison was carted off with an apparent leg injury.

Alec Lewis of The Athletic also reported that Addison (undisclosed) was carted off the field during practice on Wednesday.

He was hobbled after leaping to catch a contested pass and was helped off the field by the Vikings’ training staff. His injury is not yet known, but is likely to be clarified once coach Kevin O’Connell speaks to the media next.

Addison has had a tumultous off-season as it is. Court records indicate the 22-year-old receiver faces an arraignment and plea hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Oct. 7 after receiving a citation for suspicion of driving under the influence last month.

After a West Los Angeles police officer found Addison asleep behind the wheel of a white Rolls Royce blocking a westbound lane of I-105 near Los Angeles International Airport, he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .08%.
