Aaron Jones suffered a quad injury late in the third quarter in Week 17 against the Green Bay Packers after Edgerrin Cooper tackled him for a two-yard loss. Jones did not return for the fourth quarter and finished the day with 47 rushing yards on 12 carries and four receptions for 30 yards. During Sunday’s postgame press conference, Kevin O’Connell told the media that their Pro Bowl running back is dealing with a quad contusion but wasn’t overly concerned with the injury.
“He was working his way through it,” O’Connell said, via Ben Goessling of the Minnesota Star-Tribune. “He had some really good runs, but we decided to pull him.”

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Vikings removed Jones from the injury report for Sunday Night Football and does not have an official injury designation. The Pro Bowl running back will play against the Detroit Lions in a crucial divisional game that will determine the first seed in the NFC.
