The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines took care of business and knocked off a valiant effort from the Alabama Crimson Tide — a team that controversially was voted into the playoff but certainly looked like the right choice Monday’s College Football Semifinal matchup at the Rose Bowl.
While the game went back-and-forth for the entire 60 minutes and ended up going into overtime,
Michigan QB JJ McCarthy and the Wolverines got the ball first and found the end zone quickly due to an impressive run from Blake Corum , who set the school’s all-time rushing touchdown record on what ended up being the game winner.
Jalen Milroe is trying to read the LB that runs with his RB on the swing route. If he runs with him, it’s a keep. If he sits to play the run, it’s a throw. Low snap, he only feels LB running with his RB. DL blows up power. Milroe reacts. Ball game.

The Alabama Crimson Tide had to match the Wolverines touchdown and came close, but a low snap on their final attempt from the three-yard line gave the No. 1 Michigan defense an opportunity to stifle Jalen Milroe as he attempted to tie the game with a designed quarterback keeper.
And just like that, Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines won, advancing to the College Football Championship game where they will face Michael Penix and the explosive Washington Huskies who upset Texas in the second semifinal game of the night.
Michigan is already slated as a 4.5 favorite, but if the national title game is anything like the two semifinal matchups, college football fans will be in for a treat.
After the game, Alabama head coach explained the final play that went wrong, describing it as a “really bad call,” because it didn’t work.
“We called three plays,” said Saban, via The Next Round. “One they called timeout, one we called timeout, and the last one that didn’t work. So, the fact that it didn’t work made it a really bad call.”
Michigan Wolverines Don’t Hold Back Trolling Alabama After The Win
Even though Michigan entered the game as a slight favorite, there was a narrative that Saban’s experience in the postseason and six national championships as the Crimson Tide head coach would propel them to a victory over the Wolverines, who have been knocked out of the College Football Playoff the last two years.
That wasn’t the case on Saturday — and on the field and in the locker room after the massive victory for the Michigan Wolverines — several players didn’t hold back trolling the Crimson Tide.
The first major jab came on the field immediately after the game was sealed.
Michigan defensive tackle Cam Goode RIPS ALABAMA😳😳😳
“We were more shocked Florida State didn’t make it. We weren’t worried about Bama …”
“We beat Alabama FAIR and square.”

Michiagan DL Cam Goode was captured on camera saying “we were more shocked Florida State didn’t make it, we weren’t worried about Bama, I mean you guys saw the results. We got the dub that’s all that matters man, and the roses smell real good.”
A few moments later, Goode sat next to his teammate and fellow Kris Jenkins in the middle of the field soaking up the win with roses in hand.
“We beat Alabama fair and square that’s all I’m gonna say, fair and square,” Goode added.
The Michigan Wolverines then took a jab at the referees, insinuating they were pulling for the Crimson Tide.
“We beat the referees and Bama, how about that.?”
Jenkins chimed in.
“Whoever bet on Bama I apologize,” the Michigan DL said with a smile on his face.
But the trolling didn’t stop there.
A video surfaced from the locker room shared from Michigan star wide receiver Roman Wilson’s Tik Tok account where Wilson and several other Wolverines players hilariously mocked a popular viral video that’s surfaced about Alabama this season.
Here’s the original video that featured comedian Druski and a clearly die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide fan that surfaced at the beginning of December and went viral.

Wilson and several Michigan Wolverines players clearly wanted to have some fun trolling Alabama yet again, re-creating their own version of the viral video aimed in support of Alabama.
“I don‘t give a piss about nothing but the Tide baby,” the Michigan players said. “Blitz Bama Blitz, I love America and I love the Tide baby.”

While it’s obvious the Michigan Wolverines were caught up in the moment and having a little fun, it’s clear they came into this game feeling like underdogs, despite being favored. And in the end, they came out victorious and didn’t hold back when it came to taking jabs at their opponent.
