NFL fans reacted to former league legend quarterback Michael Vick’s comments on whether he deserves to make it into the Hall of Fame eventually. The 43-year-old quarterback is eligible for the Hall of Fame, as he has not played in the league since the 2015 season.
The Falcons drafted Vick with the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. He earned four Pro Bowl appearances during his career. Vick would have likely earned more accolades, but he missed the 2008-09 seasons after he pleaded guilty to charges in a dogfighting case.
Vick earned the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2010 season. He became the first quarterback to have a 1,000-yard rushing season. Vick owns the career average for rushing yards (7.0) for a quarterback and has the most career rushing yards by a quarterback with 6,109 yards.
According to Bleacher Report, Vick said he isn’t sure that’s enough to get him into the Hall of Fame.

Do you think Vick should make it to the HOF?
⭐1st overall pick
⭐4 Time Pro-Bowler
⭐ NFL Comeback Player of the Year
⭐ NFL Career Record for 7.0 Yards per carry… https://t.co/7HbJz9XDEV pic.twitter.com/UOlPdAF3nw— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) October 20, 2023
Vick was an exceptional athlete. But his career suffered from the two-year suspension. Vick’s lack of postseason success is another factor why he shouldn’t make the HOF.
Vick was 2-4 in the playoffs and only made it to the NFC Championship Game once, and that game wasn’t close, partly due to Vick. Vick ran for 26 yards but was just 11/24 for 136 yards passing with one interception in a 27-10 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFL fans react to Vick’s comments on HOF worthiness
Fans took to social media to give their opinions on Vick’s HOF worthiness. Here are the best fan takes on if Vick should get into the Hall of Fame.
Some fans of Vick think he did enough to make the HOF.
He revolutionized the game and made the mobile QB what it is today. So I’d say yes.
But I don’t see him getting enough votes.
I think the dog fighting scandal will haunt him forever

I think he is an essential part of the story of the NFL.
Therefore, Hall of Famer!

As a football player yes. Outside the game of football unfortunately no

That’s cause he sees Hester continuing to get turned down. Him and Hester should be 1st ballot without question. They heavily impacted how the game is played today.

Other fans don’t think he did enough on the field to warrant Canton.
He didn’t do anything close to enough to be a HOF
— Preme 🌟 (@RealTyMandela) October 20, 2023
Not close, but I wish he played in this era. Coaches didn’t know what to do with his abilities.
— Hunter Mahan (@HunterMahan) October 20, 2023
No. He could’ve been a HoF’er

Lol to 1st over all pick and EA Madden God being listed as accomplishments. I think Vick is accurate with his answer.
