Dallas Cowboys star defensive player Micah Parsons has a weekly podcast on Bleacher Report and often has some hot takes on the league. One of the most hotly debated topics in the NFL right now is what the Bears should do with Justin Fields. The Bears are likely to get the number one overall pick thanks to the Panthers and fans are split on what the team should do. Parsons was pretty clear on what he thinks they should do.
"The Chicago Bears are going to be a very good team. The Bears are going to be a legit playoff team next year. They can win the NFC North. This team can be a top playoff team next year with Justin Fields."

Micah Parsons Praises Justin Fields
Parsons thinks that the Bears could be the cream of the crop in the NFC North with Fields next season.

Fields has been playing much better over the past couple of weeks. Now that he has some actual weapons, the former Ohio State quarterback has shown some real promise. With two high first-round picks, the team has many options to bring in top-tier talent on either side of the ball. There is a flip side to this, however.
Let Me Pour Some Cold Water On This
I’ll be the downer on this one. I know that Fields has had some terrible teams in his first three years but he is 8-27 as a starter. Since 2021, he has led all quarterbacks in fumbles with the next closest person being six away. His interception rate has gotten better but he still ranks in the bottom ten in the league. The Bears will also have to pay him soon and Spotrac predicts that he will command somewhere between $43-48 million per year. Instead, the Bears could draft a highly-touted rookie quarterback and build around him.
This is one of the most interesting storylines of the offseason. Teammates have already come out and spoken up about keeping Fields and drafting a rookie could result in a locker-room mutiny. Will the Bears try Justin Fields for one more year?
