College football is in a good place in 2024. Following the expansion of the four-team College Football Playoff field to a 12-team bracket, the intensity and importance of non-top-five matchups have elevated. On Tuesday, the CFP released their first standings of the 2024 season, with four undefeated teams inside the top-12. Sitting atop the CFP rankings is the 9-0 Oregon Ducks, followed by a pair of one-loss teams and fellow undefeated, the Miami Hurricanes. The class of the ACC, Miami, has survived multiple scares this year and is three wins away from their first undefeated regular season since 2002. However, many college football fans are not sold on the ACC power.

On Thursday, the popular X account College Football Report received massive interaction following a tweet asking which team needs to be humbled most. The most widespread answer was undoubtedly the Miami Hurricanes.

According to College Football Report on Twitter (also known as X):

Which College Football fanbase needs to be humbled the most right now?

With 102 thousand views, football fans flooded the comment sections with the team they believe needs to be humbled the most. The most prevalent answer was the Miami Hurricanes, an undefeated team from the ACC. The only ACC team in the top 12, Miami is in the top five in the country in terms of total yards, passing yards, points, and third down rate. However, they have allowed 22.6 points per game, the 53rd-best mark in the nation. This season, they have survived last-second scares from the Virginia Tech Hokies, California Golden Bears, and Louisville Cardinals.

In those matchups, they have surrendered at least 34 points while needing fourth-quarter comebacks twice. Among the four undefeated teams in the top 12, Miami is the only team to play at least three games decided by one score. Nevertheless, college football fans are not fond of the confidence presented by the Hurricanes faithful through the first ten weeks of the season:

Easily Miami. Playing Junior varsity teams has them believing they're a legitimate national title contender 💀

Miami by far but they a the least humble and absolutely blind to the fact that their team has been exposed every game this season
