Colorado football will arguably play their most important game this weekend in the past eight years. Owning their best record through October since 2016, the Colorado Buffaloes will visit the surging Texas Tech Raiders for a Big 12 clash on Saturday. Ranked 20th in the first rendition of the College Football Playoff standings, Colorado has won five of their last six games and, with an undefeated finish to the season, could find themselves playing in the Big 12 title game. This season, leading the charge for the Buffaloes has been a near-elite-level offense, with the now Big 12 team scoring 31.4 points per game while accumulating 323.9 passing yards. Under center remains superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
The son of head coach Deion Sanders, the Colorado football passer has elite counting stats this season, throwing for 2,591 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six picks across eight games. He has completed 73% of his passes. With Colorado enjoying a resurgence and the younger Sanders running the offense, many fans believe he should be a real Heisman Trophy contender. Heading into this weekend, he has the sixth-best odds per FanDuel Sportsbook.
Colorado Football Fans Go To Bat For QB Shedeur Sanders

According to On3 through Twitter:
UPDATED: College Football Heisman Trophy Odds per
Who would you take?
Travis Hunter +185
Cam Ward +185
Dillon Gabriel +350
Ashton Jeanty +500
Kurtis Rourke +2000
Jaxson Dart +2000
Shedeur Sanders +2000
With Colorado football amid their best stretch since 2016, the Buffaloes have two Heisman hopefuls in early November. Two-way superstar Travis Hunter leads the charge, with the former All-American tallying 60 receptions, 757 yards, 21 tackles, eight receiving touchdowns, seven passes defended, and two interceptions. However, it is Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon Ducks signal-caller Dillon Gabriel as the top gunslingers for the 2024 Heisman Trophy Award, not Hunter’s teammate Sheduer Sanders.
The conference leader in pass completion, passing touchdowns, yards per attempt, and passer rating, Sanders has accounted for at least three touchdowns in Colorado football’s last five games. With Sanders eyeing a top-five selection in the upcoming NFL Draft, many Colorado Buffaloes fans are appalled with the signal-callers lack of respect from the Heisman Trophy Award odds makers:
Travis and Shedeur should be 1 & 2 right now. 💯💯

The sanders disrespect is uncanny. I’ve never heard anybody say either ward or Gabriel is the best QB in college

I think Shedeur Sanders will have his best game of the season (so far) this weekend vs. Texas Tech.
The kind of performance that can officially launch his Heisman campaign.
It's a dream matchup for Sanders and the #CUBuffs' offense.

Shedeur Sanders heisman talent and heisman heart 💯

Miami has 1600 yards rushing Colorado has 645 yards rushing. How QBs that are Heisman candidates would put up those type of numbers without a rushing attack? Sanders is the more pro ready QB and he’s tougher

S. Sanders, should be the number one or two quarterback in the Heisman poll. $ has the highest percentage in completions and the best ratios in TD & Int! It’s difficult 2 believe y’all looking at the whole body of work at $ (S.S.). Take the last name away would it be a problem?

well look at that, Colorado got a better line on both sides of the ball and is in prime position for a playoff spot, and Sanders should be in the Heisman talks. Called it before the season started https://t.co/cyVRqz7gJr
