Despite 12 different offensive line combinations for the Miami Dolphins, the offensive line did a solid job in pass protection this season. They allowed the 13th-fewest hurries, the fewest QB hits, the 3rd-fewest pressures, the 4th-lowest pressure percentage, and the 4th-fewest sacks in the league.
Their star lineman, who battled injuries last season and considered retiring, has made his decision for the 2024 season.

According to Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Terron Armstead is expected to return to Miami next season.
“And speaking of accomplished LTs … the full expectation is that Miami’s Terron Armstead will play next season, I was re-assured yesterday. The classy Armstead had left his future in doubt in Jan. remarks. His salary- already partially guaranteed-becomes fully guaranteed March16.”

Armstead is an elite left tackle who has battled numerous injuries in his 11-year NFL career. Here’s a quick review of his injuries.
His injuries with the New Orleans Saints
Armstead battled multiple injuries throughout his tenure with New Orleans, missing 38 games because of injuries in his nine seasons with the team.
Armstead missed two games of the 2014 season because of a neck injury, three games of the 2015 season because of a knee injury, nine games of the 2016 season because of a knee and quad injury, six games of the 2017 season because of a torn labrum, chest, and thigh injury, six games of the 2018 season because of a torn pectoral, one game of the 2019 season because of an ankle injury, two games of the 2020 season because of COVID, and nine games of the 2021 season because of a knee and elbow injury.
His injuries with the Miami Dolphins
Armstead has missed 11 games in his two seasons with Miami.
He missed four games of the 2022 season because of a lingering toe injury and a Grade 2 pectoral strain, and seven games of the 2023 season because of a knee, ankle, back, and quad injury.
He pondered retirement in January
Armstead was indecisive about playing next season, and he will not continue to play if his body cannot handle all the injuries.
“2023 was Super Bowl or bust. I love the game, and I’m chasing one more ring, but I won’t be a guy who continues to play after his body tells him he can’t.”
The impact of his return
Terron Armstead’s return to the Miami Dolphins will have a positive impact on Tua Tagovailoa. Having an elite blind-side blocker will help Tua and the passing game.
Hopefully, he can stay healthy next season.
