Aaron Brewer’s signing replaces the often-injured center Connor Williams, who departed the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
Aaron Brewer to the Miami Dolphins
Aaron Brewer was an undrafted free agent out of Texas State but has developed into a full-time starter in the last two seasons. He transitioned from guard to center in the 2023 season.
With the loss of Robert Hunt to free agency (he is expected to sign a deal with the Panthers), this should help build the interior of the Dolphin’s offensive lineup for the 2024 season.
Brewer graded well this past season, being a top-six run blocker and top-ten center overall, according to PFF.

Connor Williams Didn’t Pan Out
Williams, 26, entered the NFL as a second-round selection of the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. During his four seasons with Dallas, Williams played both guard positions. However, he lost time in his second year due to a torn ACL and was often criticized for his penalty issues.
The Dolphins signed Williams to a two-year, $14 million deal in 2022 to be the team’s starting center, a position that he never played before. He played every single snap in his first season with Miami, but a groin injury and another torn ACL, the second of his career, cut his season short at only nine games played.
The Miami Dolphins hope this center signing of Brewer pans out better than Williams.
