Miami Dolphins Add More Help Amidst Crazy Injuries

The Miami Dolphins have been trending in the wrong direction the past two weeks of the season, going from a chance at the 1 seed to the 6th seed of the AFC. In addition to dropping their final two games of the season, the Dolphins have sustained major injuries all over the defense and specifically at the linebacker position.

Miami has been adding pieces this whole week in preparation for a huge game in Kansas City on wild card weekend. Now they have added another player and brought up a player from their active roster amid all these injuries’. Specifically, Miami has lost 4 linebackers to injury at the absolute worst time of the season.

With all their top linebackers out, the Dolphins signed linebacker Melvin Ingram to their active roster ahead of their huge matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. This reflects their catastrophic injury issues going into the post season as they have now added multiple linebackers ahead of the playoffs.

Miami has a huge playoff game this week and although they are playing perhaps the best quarterback in the league in Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs offense has not been great all year. It will be difficult to say the least for a bunch of these players, like Melvin Ingram and Justin Houston to come in and play amazing, but injuries happen in football.

These guys have not really played with the team all season long and now they will be playing most of the snaps in a playoff game for this team. It would be quite a shock for them to get the win with all these crucial players missing on the defensive side of the ball, but crazier things have happened in the NFL.

The Dolphins will need a huge game from their offense and these plug in defensive players to play well if they are going to have a chance against the defending Super Bowl Champions. They are by far the most injured team in the playoffs and they will need some miracles to make a deep playoff run.

They have smartly added veteran talent that has played playoff games in their careers and they will need to lean on that experience as they do not have any real experience with this team. If Miami can pull of this win, it will be very embarrassing for the Chiefs, but with all these injuries Miami should be one and done in the playoffs for the second straight year.
