The Maryland Terrapins football program has usually been consistent in making a bowl game over the last several years. This past season, Maryland finished with a 4-8 record and they did not make a bowl game. It will be interesting to see what happens during the 2025 season with Mike Locksley as head coach.
If the Terrapins do not perform better next season, there is a chance that they could move on from Locksley as head coach. The Maryland Terrapins are looking to fare better in the BIG10 Conference next season.

Maryland will open next season at home against the Florida Atlantic Owls on August 30. They will face in-state FCS opponent Towson Tigers on September 13. The Terrapins and the Tigers have played each other quite a bit over the years.
The Maryland Terrapins will open up BIG10 Conference play on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers on September 20. Maryland will avoid facing the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Oregon Ducks, and the Penn State Nittany Lions in 2025, but they still have some talented teams from the conference on the schedule.
On October 11, they will host the Nebraska Cornhuskers. On November 1, they will host the Indiana Hoosiers. After that, they will have another tough road game on November 15 against the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Michigan Wolverines will be better next year and Maryland will face them before they face the Michigan State Spartans in the final week of the regular season.
Maryland will also face the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on the road in November. They have a chance to finish 6-6 next season.

Many are saying 10-2 with a CFP home game pic.twitter.com/2ZjBdBFlql

It would be a surprise if the Maryland Terrapins made the college football playoffs from the BIG10 Conference next season. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them win less than six games next season, but it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see them go 8-4 and bounce back next year.
