The LSU Tigers are always in the mix for the SEC. Part of that is due to Brian Kelly’s recruiting efforts. The school is a desirable location, especially for cornerbacks. There is a long list of elite corners to come out of Baton Rouge. The program landed another one when Jaboree Antoine, a four-star cornerback in the 2025 cycle, committed to the program.

According to On3, Antoine is a top-20 recruit in the 2025 cycle. He chose the Tigers over Texas A&M and Texas. He joins a class headlined by five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and five-star running back Harlem Berry. He had this to say about why he chose the Tigers.
“LSU was great, as soon as I stepped foot in the facility I felt that family vibe and that’s exactly what it felt like talking with the coaches and getting to know everyone. LSU preached and was big on elite and leadership. That’s their standard which I feel is perfect. Just hired great coaching staff and will get the chance to be developed by one of the best Corey Raymond who has ties from where I’m from and knows what it takes to overcome the challenges that’s thrown at you.
I’m just blessed to be in a position where I can play for my home state and bring back the LSU I know. I am a great player but most importantly I’m going to work hard for any and everything I want. Since young I worked for everything I wanted, my work ethic never been a question and I believe what Coach Kelly is building will be special and I’m blessed to be part of it.”
2025 Class
It is still early, but LSU has the top recruiting class in 2025, according to On3. It isn’t hard to see why. Underwood was the top prize, and having an elite quarterback can cover up a lot of problems on the roster. Ohio State, Georgia, Oregon, and Clemson round out the current top five. While it is still early, recruiting often has a snowball effect. Once one player comes, others take notice and want to be a part of the program.
Can the LSU Tigers make some noise in 2024? Their latest moves have been more about 2025 and beyond, but Brian Kelly should have another talent team this season.
