The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a huge win last week against the Baltimore Ravens. The team’s offense looked sharp in the win. However, they still have to address some key issues, including the quarterback and the offensive line. One way the team can take care of these positions is by trading their star receiver, Davante Adams, who has expressed that he wouldn’t want to play elsewhere in the past.
Las Vegas Raiders Trade Proposal
Adams is proposed to be traded to the New York Jets to reunite with his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers. Even though the veteran has said multiple times that he wants to remain with Las Vegas, the team would save a good chunk of money if they were to deal him away in the middle of the season.
Why the New York Jets Make Sense
With Adams being an aging veteran, it is unlikely that the Raiders would pay him the $36 million that he is set to earn over the next two seasons. Plus, the team acquiring him would only spend half of the price of his $16.89 million guaranteed this season. Having the veteran on the Jets would likely make them soar to new heights with the amount of talent they already have.
There have been many rumors over the last couple of seasons that Adams would eventually reunite with his former quarterback, but he has denied the possibility every time it comes up. If he is not dealt to the Jets, other teams that can make a move for him are the Los Angeles Rams and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Do you think that Adams will be traded at the deadline, and if so, will it be for a reunion in New York?
