Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce got himself in a bit of hot water with his recent comments about Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Pierce revealed that he had a special tactic against the reigning two-time Super Bowl MVP, which involves a bit of violence from his own defensive line.
As it turns out, renowned NFL analyst Skip Bayless is a big fan of Pierce’s polarizing proclamation.
Las Vegas Raiders HC Antonio Pierce Goes Full Savage on Patrick Mahomes

Pierce recently came out with a contentious statement about putting the hurt on Mahomes whenever they face the Chiefs on the battlefield. While this is not exactly an unheard-of approach, Pierce pretty much said out loud what other coaches and players would rather not:
“We’ve got the Jordan Rules and we’ve got what I’m calling now as long as I’m here, the Patrick Mahomes Rules,” Pierce said on a recent appearance on Maxx Crosby’s The Rush Podcast. “You remember when Jordan was going through it with the Pistons, all those guys in the ’80s before he became Air Jordan, the Pistons used to whip his [behind]. Any time he came to the hole: elbows, feeling him, love taps. We’re in his head, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually.

There’s no pulling punches with this man.
Skip Bayless Approves

While Pierce has been criticized for his recent statement, one man who has offered the Raiders coach his full support is Skip Bayless. The Fox Sports 1 broadcaster took to Twitter on Thursday to share just how much he adores Pierce’s unrelenting mindset:
“Love what my man Antonio Pierce said for all to hear about Mahomes. As the late great Al Davis said, the QB must go down early in games ‘and he must go down hard.’ I knew Al well. His old-school, real-school spirit lives on in his new head coach,” Bayless wrote on Twitter.
As the age-old saying goes, birds of the same feather flock together.
