Although the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t finish that well last season strong, Maxx Crosby still showed up and balled out well. Turns out, the defensive lineman is just getting started, especially after receiving an epic tribute from his college alma mater.
Crosby was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact as a rookie, including a standout performance came in Week 11 when he sacked Bengals quarterback Ryan Finley 4 times. This helped him earn the AFC Defensive Player of the Week back during that campaign.
In 2020, Crosby continued his strong play, recording seven sacks, 39 tackles, and a blocked field goal. He had notable games against the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, getting sacks on quarterback Cam Newton and superstar Patrick Mahomes.
Crosby’s breakout season came in 2021 when he made the Pro Bowl for the first time. He had multiple games with multiple sacks, including a 3-sack performance against the Broncos. Crosby was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week twice that season.
In 2022, Crosby followed up his Pro Bowl campaign with another strong season, earning Second-Team All-Pro honors. He has now been selected to the Pro Bowl three years in a row from 2021-2023.
Las Vegas Raiders Star Maxx Crosby Receives Epic Tribute After $1 Million Donation
Late last year, the Raiders defensive lineman and his wife, Rachel, donated $1 million to their alma mater, Eastern Michigan. In response, the university unveiled Crosby Field to honor the couple, as seen in a tweet by Adam Schefter on X.
Eastern Michigan University unveiled “Crosby Field” yesterday, named in honor of Raiders three-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby and his wife Rachel. The couple, who met at EMU and were both athletic standouts, made a $1 million donation to the athletic dept. last year.

Both Maxx and Rachel Crosby were both standout athletes who graduated from Eastern Michigan. While the former played football, his wife was a soccer star during their college days.
Crosby still has two more years left from his $94 million contract extension with the Raiders. Expect the Raiders star to take another leap in his career in the coming seasons.
