It seems that Maxx Crosby isn’t heartbroken over the Las Vegas Raiders deciding to move on from Josh McDaniels. On an episode of his podcast after the firing of McDaniels, Crosby reacted to new head coach Antonio Pierce.

Las Vegas Raiders Maxx Crosby Loving Antonio Pierce Already
Pierce is coming in with a different type of intensity. Being a former player, he also looks to connect with the players more than McDaniels did. Crosby revealed the first impressions with Pierce at the helm. “He wants to match my energy? I already sent him a text ‘No f–king chance!” He then added, “The team meeting was lit.” It is always a good sign when one of the team leaders is on board with the new person at the helm. While it is just on an interim basis for right now, Pierce has half a season to show what he has got. One thing is for sure, Crosby is one hundred percent in.
Outlook For 2023
At this point, who knows what will happen in 2023. Interim head coaches are so hit-and-miss that it is impossible to predict what will happen. The Raiders have already announced that Aidan O’Connell will be under center for the time being and that adds another layer of uncertainty to the mix. In situations like this, it usually is all about evaluating players. Las Vegas needs to see who is a part of the future and who can be moved on from.
Hopefully, the Las Vegas Raiders will be patient with their rebuild this time. Maxx Crosby is a great player to build around and this draft has some great options at the top. Instead of trying to get an aging quarterback to win now, they should try and build from the ground up.
