The Las Vegas Raiders completing a stunning victory over their divisional rivals the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders defense picked up right where they left off, playing unbelievable defending the run and the pass at a very high level. They were able to get two defensive touchdowns, and it seemed like they were in the backfield every time Patrick Mahomes dropped back for a pass.
Antonio Pierce, who took over for Josh McDaniels, has been phenomenal. It seems like almost overnight, Pierce has completely changed the culture and vibes of the team, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The defense has looked like one of the best under Pierce in his short stretch so far as interim head coach, and many Raiders fans been calling for him to be promoted to the full time head coach after yet another incredible and gritty performance from the team.
Tony Romo, who was calling the game was praising Pierce all throughout the game and after the victory was completed, Romo was quoted saying:
“I think he should be the head coach next year.”
Many Fans on X are agreeing with Romo and have been loving this new Raiders defense and team under Pierce. If the team can continue to perform, Las Vegas may go ahead and give him the job for next season.
Las Vegas Raiders Fans Loving Christmas Upset
In a game that Taylor Swift was in attendance, in Kansas City, The Raiders went in and demolished the game on the defensive side of the ball. The Las Vegas fandom erupted on X going off about their improbable win. Many fans have been attributing their great play to switch at head coach, specifically blaming Josh McDaniels about how good the team could have been and that it was clearly the right decision to put Pierce at head coach.
Las Vegas was getting very hype in the locker room after the game and even though they barely have a chance to make the post season, there is clearly a huge change in the emotions and vibes of the team. They seem to be playing hungry and having much more fun then when McDaniels was there.
Antonio Pierce definitely deserves the job for next year, the players have a connection with him, and in a very tough situation the team has rallied around him and have been playing excellent football. While they may not have a real chance to make the playoffs this year, they have plenty to look forward to and be optimistic about for next season.
