Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is never scared to shy away from giving his opinion, and with the college football playoff coming out, his Rebels are on the outside looking in.
Last week, Ole Miss was in a great position to get in with a win over Florida but fell because of crucial mistakes, giving them their third loss of the season, which put them behind most of the playoff teams. Alabama would also fall that night, losing to Oklahoma, giving them their third loss. Still, the College Football Playoff committee favored the Crimson Tide, ranking them one spot ahead of the Rebels.
Lane Kiffin Is Right That Ole Miss Should Be Ranked Ahead Of Alabama
Even though both schools come from the SEC, they never faced each other, so to determine who should be ranked higher, many different criteria must be used.
Kiffin tweeted a post showing how Ole Miss is almost better than Alabama in every part of the game this season and tagged it at the college football playoffs.

Some things on the list show that the Rebels should be ranked ahead of the Crimson Tide are that they both have nine wins, and Ole Miss has beaten their opponents by 296 points. In contrast, Alabama has only beaten theirs by 252, and in their three losses, the Rebels lost by a total of 13 points, while the Crimson Tide lost by 33.
Both schools also had some common opponents, playing Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina. Ole Miss beat Georgia and South Carolina by greater margins than Alabama did, but the only issue was that the Crimson Tide beat LSU while the Rebels lost to them.
Ole Miss is winning in almost every category over Alabama, but it still ranks behind them only because of its name.
Lane Kiffin is certain that his team should be ranked higher than the Crimson Tide, and even though both teams are out of the playoffs at the moment, one of them can still get in if they get some help this weekend, and it should be Ole Miss.
