Lane Kiffin Destroys The College Football Playoff Committee After Ole Miss Is Ranked Behind Miami And Alabama

It was another big day for the college football play committee on Tuesday night after a crazy last week to the regular season, and one team that handled business this past weekend was Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.

The Rebels beat their biggest rival, Mississippi State, to move to a record of 9-3, but the college football playoff committee couldn’t care less about what they did.

Miami, which lost to Syracuse for its second loss of the season, was still ranked one spot ahead of Ole Miss, coming in at number 12. The Rebels came in at number 13, but Alabama, which has the same record as Ole Miss, was ranked 11th and, right now, would be in the playoffs.

It makes zero sense for two-loss Miami to be ranked below Alabama but not Ole Miss and South Carolina when they should be ranked below all three teams.

There is an argument to be made that the Rebels should be ranked ahead of Alabama since they never played each other. They are both 9-3 and did better in every game against a common opponent outside LSU.

Of course, Lane Kiffin was unhappy with the rankings and took to social media to express his frustration with the committee.

The 49-year-old head coach took to social media and stated,” You guys actually meet for days and come up with these rankings?? @CFBPlayoff Do you actually watch the quality of players, teams, and road environments (we played in one of yours this year ) or just try and make the ACC feel relevant ?? Btw one of your teams paid us not to play again next year. Same #12 spot you guys had Clemson ranked last week. How did that go against the  @SEC ??? Rewatch UGA Clemson closely if you want a reminder of the two conferences.”

The playoff committee has no idea what it is doing, and it shows in how it ranked Alabama, Miami, and Ole Miss.

The committee wants Alabama in the playoffs because of its brand, and until they stop playing favorites, we will never have a real college football playoff with the best teams.
