Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and owner Steve Bisciotti last raised the Lombardi Trophy above their head in February of 2023. Bisciotti is itching for quarterback Lamar Jackson to take the Ravens to heights that were last conquered by Joe Flacco.
Jackson, the No. 32 pick in the 2018 draft, is set to enter his eighth season in the league. He had his best season passing last year, throwing for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns, and four interceptions.
However, the Ravens were defeated 27-25 by Josh Allen (the 2024 NFL MVP) and the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. Jackson has won the NFL MVP award twice, but he has made only one AFC Championship Game appearance, which ended in a 17-10 loss at home last January.
Lamar Jackson has a window

At 28, Jackson is in his prime, but Bisciotti knows the former Louisville standout only has so many years to lead Baltimore to a Super Bowl. Bisciotti made an interesting comment this week, saying that Jackson has a “window” to win a championship.
“We’ve got a window with Lamar,” Bisciotti said via the Ravens’ website. “I know what we can do. I know that we worked to put ourselves in position to win. We all get credit for that. That’s all you can do. I hate it that every year, you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek.”
A little added pressure from Bisciotti?
Jackson signed a five-year contract extension in the 2023 offseason. However, the Ravens have had “conversations” regarding another extension for their star quarterback.
The Baltimore Ravens have been waiting 12 years

Bisciotti wants a championship for many in his building.
“I don’t look at Lamar singularly,” Bisciotti said. “I want it for Ronnie Stanley, I want it for Marlon Humphrey. It just doesn’t stop with Lamar. I want it for (General Manager) Eric DeCosta. I don’t like waiting 12 years, yet I’m respectful of the fact that I’ve got partners (owners) downstairs that still don’t have one. Impatience is good for you. I think it’s healthy to a degree because you know all of us still feel it.”
A 12-year wait for Biscotti pales in comparison to Jackson’s wait. He was in high school when the Ravens last won the Super Bowl.
