Kyle Juszczyk, former fullback for the San Francisco 49ers, was just one of millions of viewers who were left heart-broken after the second episode of Season 2 of ‘The Last of Us’ series recently aired. Not to give spoilers, but a beloved character was killed off in the episode, just as in the original game, which seemed to have tugged on Juszczyk’s heartstrings.
Kyle Juszczyk’s former team, the San Francisco 49ers, are currently waiting for the upcoming 2025 NFL season. Juszczyk has been playing for the 49ers since 2017, but was recently let go. The fullback was selected by the Ravens as the 130th pick in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft. Prior to stepping foot into the league, Juszczyk played college football for the Harvard Crimson from 2009 to 2012.
“I feel lost…..” Kyle Juszczyk tweeted through his X account, sharing a post by Max which showed Ellie (a main character in the show) looking bewildered at something.

In the 2024 NFL season, Juszczyk and the San Francisco 49ers finished fourth in the NFC West after winning six games and losing 11. In their final game of the season, the 49ers were paired with the Arizona Cardinals and lost the game 47-24, essentially being chucked out of the tournament. Currently, Kyle Juszczyk is hoping to join another team soon for the upcoming NFL season.

Kyle Juszczyk May Soon Join Pittsburgh Steelers For The 2025 NFL Season
While Kyle Juszczyk may have felt hopeless after the San Francisco 49ers let him go last month, things might soon be looking up for the fullback. According to recent reports, Juszczyk will be meeting the Pittsburgh Steelers later this week.

In the previous season, the Pittsburgh Steelers finished second in the AFC North after winning ten games and losing seven, just one spot below the ruling Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers made it to the Wild Card Round, but lost to the Ravens with a 28-14 final score.
If Juszczyk does manage to join the Steelers, he might help the team improve their record in the upcoming NFL season. In the 2024 NFL season, the fullback managed only five carries for 26 yards, scoring one touchdown.

Of course, Juszczyk is not the only player whom the Pittsburgh Steelers will be curious to bring in to their team. The Steelers are reportedly looking at a number of draft prospects, including the very talented Shedeur Sanders and even Jalen Milroe from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
