Quarterback Chase Herbstreit is the son of ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit, who attended Ohio State. Over the last two weeks of college football, the Buckeyes have been in the college football news because of the shocking loss to the Michigan Wolverines the week before.
Michigan and Ohio State are one of the craziest rivalries in college football. The Wolverines did not make it to the playoffs this season, but they are hoping to get back there next season.
Chase Herbstreit Commits To the Michigan Wolverines
Hayes Fawcett of on3sports announced on Sunday that class of 2025 quarterback Chase Herbstreit will commit to the Michigan Wolverines. He currently plays for St. Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is an interesting decision for him because Michigan just landed the number one recruit quarterback Bryce Underwood.
Underwood flipped from the LSU Tigers to the Michigan Wolverines. This is a good thing that Michigan can fix their quarterback room with the addition of Herbstreit for next season.

He’s only there to advance Scout Michigan and pass the info on to Ohio State. It’s totally legal per Michigan fans!

Some of the other schools that were after him were the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Michigan Wolverines. It was interesting that Herbstreit decided to commit to Michigan over Ohio State. This seemed like a major surprise to college football fans.
