“Kirk Cousins Becomes Their Starting Quarterback”: Kirk Cousins Potential Move To Cleveland Browns Discussed By Dan Orlovsky

Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons quarterback, might find a better fit for the Cleveland Browns as opposed to his current team, according to NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky. On Thursday, Orlovsky made an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and discussed Cousins potentially moving to the Cleveland Browns, as other NFL teams also seek to bolster their respective rosters for the upcoming NFL season.

Kirk Cousins played for the Atlanta Falcons in the 2024 NFL season, but the Cousins-Falcons combination never seemed to work for some reason. The Falcons went on to finish second in the NFC South with only eight wins and nine defeats on the season. The Atlanta Falcons played their last game of the season against the Carolina Panthers, losing 44-38 in overtime.

“I think the things that make sense to me are Kirk Cousins eventually [will] be with the Browns, and Aaron Rodgers is already going to the Steelers, I think with the Browns, if you look at it and you go, ‘Okay, well, Kenny Pickett…’ If Kirk Cousins becomes their starting quarterback, and they had a player like Travis Hunter. If I were the Browns, I would take Travis Hunter at 2… Kirk Cousins never seemed settled last year. We called his games on Monday Night Football. He never seemed comfortable. It never seemed like the right offensive fit, although I thought it would be perfect fit, Zac Robinson, the offensive coordinator in Atlanta, just didn’t didn’t run the similar stuff that Kirk was accustomed to.” Dan Orlovsky said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.

Kirk Cousins stepped foot into the NFL after being selected by the Washington Redskins, now Washington Commanders, as the 102nd pick in the fourth round in the 2012 NFL draft. Cousins played for the team until 2017, after which he moved to the Minnesota Vikings to play until 2023.

Kirk Cousins Might Have Competition In Shedeur Sanders

While Kirk Cousins will bring plenty of experience to the Cleveland Browns, there are also reports that the team has been strongly eyeing Shedeur Sanders for a few months now. Sanders last played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and has been simply terrific on the field. In his senior year, the young quarterback threw for 4,134 yards in total, scoring 37 touchdowns while managing ten interceptions.

Currently, Kirk Cousins is in a contract with the Atlanta Falcons, and a bid to bring him to the Browns will cost Cleveland plenty. At the same time, Sanders is bound to have a high rank in the NFL draft list, and will not be easy to bring in as well.
