Social media has run wild with this conspiracy establishing it as the facts without any real proof. Now, Kelce has hired a legal team to deal with all of this.
A spokesperson for Kelce’s team at Full Scope vehemently denied all of these allegations and the contract itself. They went on to say that this whole story and this contract is “entirely false and fabricated” and claimed it wasn’t “created, issued, or authorized by this agency.”
Now, Kelce’s team at Full Scope is going to pursue legal action against the entity or individual that started this rumor:
“We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” the spokesperson told TMZ.
The contract alleged that the two stars would be breaking up on September 28th of this month. Kelce would be playing the Chargers on the following day.
Per Sean Laber of Gridiron Heroics:
Laying out what the statement would say, they write: “Example: Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time. “
The paperwork also states that the announcement would “focus on Kelce’s ‘personal growth’ by framing the breakup as a ‘natural part of life.’ It also will highlight his “commitment to his career with the Kansas City Chiefs and his ongoing achievements in the sports industry.”
If this is a completely fake contract as the spokesperson said, we will certainly see legal action taken. However, it is also certainly possible that when two incredibly famous people split, there would be a PR campaign around it so that both parties can move on properly.
Specifically in regards to Swift, there have been a few of her exes who saw their careers tank quite a bit following their breakup. Kelce would certainly want to avoid that.
Fans have quickly taken both sides on social media with many claiming this is false, while others are using it to reinforce this long-standing conspiracy that their relationship is just for show.
As the Kansas City Chiefs gear up for another season, we will see how big of a distraction this will be For Travis Kelce specifically and the team as a whole.
While tons have fans quickly backed the conspiracy theory, other fans are a but shocked at how many people actually believe that the relationship is fake:
“It is really weird how many people honestly think Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are in a fake relationship. Legitimately a ‘birds aren’t real’ level conspiracy theory,” one person said.
“No hate at all bcos i live and breathe kansas city but what in the world does taylor swift gain from a pr relationship with travis kelce,” a second person joked.
“Thought the Kelce/Swift stuff couldn’t get any more annoying now we got conspiracy theorists calling it fake,” a third person wrote.
“RE: The Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift ‘news’………. You people are effing nuts. For real. Quit believing what is put on here by Russian accounts to eff up our society. They are good at this. But it only works if you guys can’t see through it and believe it,” another commenter chimed in.
